Paolo Nutini - Growing Up Beside You

Paolo Nutini’s sophomore album, Sunny Side Up, is more folky and well…is just different from his more poppy mainstream debut album, and probably not for everyone who liked These Streets. If you can get pass his Scottish accented slurrings, this is, I think, the highlight of the album.

Allie Moss - Corner (via Aurgasm)
Huh, always thought she was Ingrid Michaelson’s sidekick or something. Anyway, this track shows that she can definitely stand on her own.

Julie Peel - Living in a Movie

“Living in a Movie” is the opening track to this French Canadian’s full length debut album, Near the Sun, and it’s just a nice light-hearted catchy track to listen to. I give credit to thesixtyone on this one for introducing me to her.

Florence and the Machine - Cosmic Love
Florence and the Machine - Howl

Couple faves by Florence and the Machine aside from “Dog Days are Over”, though I continually seem to find no fault in anything she does.

Glasser - Glad (Delorean Remix)

Glasser appeared on one of Urban Outfitter’s Compilations (lstn #2), and will have another track featured on the next one (lstn #6) that comes out tomorrow. Perhaps it’s this one? I don’t know, I just saw the artist name in passing while looking up Zaza and seeing their blog about the UO mixtape.
Aside from remixes, looks like Delorean has been working on their own material too.

Telepopmusik - Ghost Girl
Latest single off their upcoming album due early 2010. Speaking of Telepopmusik, there’s a pretty good mashup of my favorite song of theirs, “Breathe”, with Michael Jackson’s “Remember the Time”. Here’s a hypem link.

Zaza - Sooner or Later (via RCRD LBL)

If you’re looking for a new shoegaze artist, Zaza makes for a good listen. The duo recently digitally released their Cameo EP which you can stream on myspace. They are also part of the Kanine Records family alongside other acts you may recognize.
